I'm making an official statement that my commissions are OPEN! I have lowered my prices in order to make my work more accessible.

For those who missed the last journal, I stated I was in the process of going through a divorce from a controlling, manipulative, and honestly abusive husband. I am currently in a safe temporary home.

Recently I have had to rescue my cats from the apartment I once called home, because he had left for Boston for three days and left them nothing but bowls of raw food pellets (unmashed and dehydrated) and raw eggs for them to eat and nobody but me, someone who is dependent on rideshare, local public transportation, and people kind enough to drive me, to check on them.

My cats are safe now. They are being held by the cat sanctuary I volunteer at, as the staff have been so kind as to help me in any way they can. It is not the most ideal position, as I have 60 or so days (they said we can discuss an extended stay if by then i still haven't found a home) to get an apartment for all three of us. On top of that, I still do not have my own car.

Many have been SO KIND to donate to me, making sure I now have actual savings! I've currently got $1000 (some donations, some paychecks from work) that will eventually go to a car, but I'm hoping to make a bigger deposit so I don't make crazy big car payments.

Since my work hours were cut, I'm opening up commissions to give me another option in earning money.

I appreciate all the help I've gotten, and will appreciate all the help I can get. Thank you all so much for everything.

I thought I would post an update for folks. I'm currently in a safehouse for domestic abuse victims. I will have to return to get the rest of my things.

I will be reopening commissions soon so I can earn a little extra and save enough to pay my divorce lawyer, get a car, and rent my own place. I may lower my prices to make my pieces more affordable to folks, as I only raised them because my husband told me to. If you have suggestions, please look at my commissio page and let me know what you think.

I'm closing my commissions because I don't have the energy to draw for people, especially between this, work, and volunteering. However, I need to save for a car and a place to stay, or at least the divorce complaint papers needed to make it clear that he owes me alimony. I will accept donations, though don't feel obligated.
